UNDER THE SEA
SE WATER + MORRISON | PORTLAND

Under The Sea is a graffiti production that splashed onto the walls of Speedy’s Auto in Portland’s Central Eastside Mural District.

Working with an underwater Pacific Ocean theme, a few recognizable sea-dwelling creatures like SpongeBob Square Pants and Flotsam & Jetsam eels from The Little Mermaid joined the party. Featuring work by Matt Schlosky (top border), plus! A huge thank you to all the talented artists and writers who made this project possible. 

This mural was created through PSAA’s donation and grant-driven Community Art Program, which transforms overlooked spaces into vibrant canvases for regional street and graffiti artists.

EVERGROWING
SE MORRISON + MLK | PORTLAND

Titled Evergrowing, this mural rises above newly installed edible gardens featuring native species and seasonal plantings by PDX Farm, creating a living artwork that changes with the seasons. PSAA consulted on this collaborative project for JAM Makery LLC, in partnership with Open Urban Practice, Bridge Rat Artist Studios, and PDX Farm.

"My goal for the mural was to create something that stands by itself, but has the potential to grow, just like the nurse log that inspired it and the creative space it inhabits," shares muralist Quomi.

This transformed space creates a vibrant, welcoming environment and a true place for growth in the Central Eastside!

KERNSIDE
SE 28th + STARK | PORTLAND

PSAA teamed up with long-time Portland Restaurant Baby Doll Pizza to create two new murals for the “Kernside” neighborhood in Portland. The first of two murals created by Artist Devin Finely features bold wildstyle lettering spelling out “Kernside,” surrounded by colorful graphics inspired by nearby businesses, with plenty of fun and quirky touches that capture the neighborhood’s spirit.

The second mural is a shell-shocking tribute to Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! This muscle-bound hero is sporting some seriously epic tattoos (including a nod to Lone Fir Fitness!) and wielding a sai in one hand while holding a pizza slice in the other.
